DR. WILLIAM SINGER

Dr. Singer was originally court appointed as a Title 26 Guardian ad Litem (GAL) for King County Superior Court in 1980. He is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, dedicated to improving the lives of children and families through the resolution of family conflict. He has served the NBCC (National Board for Certified Counselors), as a “Doctoral Fellowship Mentor” since 2015. Dr. Singer is Executive Director/owner of NWEC (Northwest Evaluation Center) - a Washington State, DSHS certified, treatment program provider for Domestic Violence.

 

Dr. Singer was a proponent of the “Bully Bill,” that was ratified by the senate in March of 2001, for funding stringent policies within the public school system against harassment, intimidation, and bullying. He has worked in the adult and juvenile criminal justice system, and was program developer for the Monroe Penitentiary inmate reintegration program.

 

Serving the Courts as GAL, Parenting Evaluator, Mental Health evaluator (for both family law and criminal court cases) Dr. Singer is currently licensed in the states of Washington, Oregon, and New Mexico. Dr. Singer is a National Board-Certified Forensic Counselor and member of the National Association of Forensic Counselors. Dr. Singer has been the mental health director for a state certified IOP (intensive outpatient treatment program), and is a National Board-Certified, Doctoral Level Addictions Counselor (DAC).

 

Dr. Singer has held faculty professorships on both undergraduate and graduate school levels at the University of Puget Sound and City University in Seattle. He was awarded a Graduate School, scholarship teaching appointment at Oregon State University, and is presently an Honorary Clinical Instructor for Walden University.

Dr. Singer has received a rarely awarded Washington State Governor's Award for Outstanding Volunteer Community Service. He has also authored a well-regarded research study on counseling styles and outcomes.

 

His experience as therapist, teacher, coach, and business developer has afforded him insight into a broad range of life experience which he passionately shares with others.
